Excerpts from the podcast:
Host: "I don't know your perspective on our connection, but you're welcome to share."
Gabe: "I remember meeting you a few years ago at Lady Moe's Attic Treasures, where I was Larry LeBlanc's gaming technician. Sadly, Larry passed away about a year ago. He was a great man. I can't recall the exact system you wanted me to repair—probably a PlayStation 2. My first impression of you was interesting. I can't remember if it was you or someone else wanting to work with Larry, but my memory is a bit fuzzy on that."
Host: "Larry and I had a good working relationship. He knew how to make deals and wasn't afraid to lose a few bucks. If he listed something for $45, I'd sometimes get it for $40 or $42 because we'd haggle. I realized you could help me get things I couldn't previously."
Gabe: "Larry was generous with deals. He had a vintage Samsung gaming TV he wanted over $100 for, but no one was interested. When I approached him, he sold it to me for $60. I still have that TV today. Larry's passing shocked many people, even months later. They still ask about him, and it's always a great sadness."

Host: "Let's jump right into the questions. Can you share some insights into your repair process and how you approach fixing vintage electronics? What sets your repair services apart from others in the market?"
Gabe: "When it comes to gaming systems, I approach each one by assessing its condition, functionality, and potential issues. Each system is different, especially depending on its sophistication. There are some repairs I can't do immediately due to a lack of certain tools. For instance, if someone brought in a PlayStation 3 with the yellow light of death or an Xbox 360 with the red ring of death, I'd have to turn them away. The necessary tool for those repairs costs over a thousand dollars, and I don't have the space for it right now."
Host: "Right, if the end doesn't justify the means, then it's not worth it."
Gabe: "Exactly. I do have a diagnostic tool for the PlayStation 3, but it only provides repair logs and diagnostics—it doesn't help me repair the system. I can diagnose down to the motherboard, but that's not really repairing it. For other systems, I can often repair or modify them. It usually boils down to identifying the problem and whether I can replicate it. Sometimes customers' descriptions don't match the actual issue. I have to go through everything step by step because most customers aren't experts at gaming repairs. Some think they can fix it themselves, but when they can't, it costs more to repair because their attempts often make things worse."
Host: "Right, they screw something up, and then you have to fix it, which ends up costing more."
