Dr. Mike Nerney: Thanks for having me.
Host: So Mike, you've had a diverse journey from your early years to becoming the executive director of the Maine Baptist Association.
Can you share a bit about the pivotal moments that led you to where you are today?
Dr. Mike Nerney: Diverse is really a good choice of words to describe this journey; in fact, as I was thinking this through and we scheduled this, I just realized that it was 25 years ago this week that my wife and I packed up a moving truck and pulled away from our house in Massachusetts, where we lived for 31 years, all our lives, and we left to attend a Seminary Full-Time in North Carolina.
It was a blinding snowstorm.
We were leaving Massachusetts and arriving in North Carolina the next day, and it's bright and sunny and in the 70s.
Host: In your role as the executive director of the Maine Baptist Association, what aspects of your work bring you the most fulfillment and joy?
DR. Mike Nerney: Yeah, I'm glad you asked that because I get the most joy when I can sit one-on-one with a pastor or he and his wife and listen to his current challenges and….
